We’ve been in Tromsø for the last few days. We’ve come this far north (we crossed the Arctic Circle to get here) so that we could see the Northern Lights, which was the inspiration for doing this entire holiday. No pressure though…
On Saturday night, our first night in town, we’d booked with a guide who takes small groups out in search of the Aurora. It was raining when we got picked up at 6pm, and the next eight hours were spent driving through the night trying to find a patch of clear sky. We even crossed the border into Finland, but despite this, the weather won out, and we didn’t see a single thing.
